In addition to Coinbase Pay, MoonPay, Sardine, Transak and Wyre, MetaMask now supports PayPal as a payment option . The firm reported $943 million worth of cryptocurrency assets as of March 31 which is a 56% increase from the previous quarter when the company reported $604 million worth of cryptocurrency assets . This information was revealed in a quarterly report filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission .
MetaMask Rapidly Expands Its Library of Services
MetaMask recently announced a new feature allowing users to purchase cryptocurrencies with fiat cash straight from their portfolio Dapp . This new integration comes on the heels of that announcement . The new feature makes it possible for users to acquire several different cryptocurrencies via conventional payment mechanisms like debit or credit cards and wire transfers.
Supporting more than 90 different cryptocurrencies on eight different networks the service will be available in more than 189 different countries . This function generates a unique price estimate for each transaction by considering the user’s location and the applicable local restrictions .
In order to reach more users and provide more entry points for them MetaMask has been actively seeking integrations and collaborations . Recent changes have included improving Nigerians’ ability to get instantaneous access to cryptocurrency . The wallet has partnered with cryptocurrency firm MoonPay to make cryptocurrency purchases in the African nation as easy as making a bank transfer . According to the Chainalysis Global Crypto Adoption Index 2022 Nigeria is among the top 20 nations for cryptocurrency adoption .
